Recycle Green |
|
God calls us as stewards of God's creation. Making our churches a more environmentally friendly place can provide a healthy, toxic-free sacred space as well as help us protect God's creation for current and future generations. No matter what region of the country you examine, you will find increased interest and action by the faith community to address global climate change. By taking action in their own houses of worship and in their own homes -- living lives that use less carbon - people of faith become examples to the rest of the community.
We are given the opportunity to help change our environment and gain a little something for the church as well. Although not a lot is made from this type of fundraising, we feel it is our responsibility to recycle and reuse as much as possible. This is also a way to give a small donation to your favorite ministry. Through these small amounts of money back to our church, we can see the future of our children and ministries continue.
Our church has a paper recycle center located on the Southwest end of the church (Church Drive). We hope you will remember us when getting rid of your recyclables.
